Another beauty haul. What's new? But guess who placed another Beauty Bay order two days ago :) Another haul coming soon!! Anyways, here's the few bits that i bought from Beauty Bay.
Firstly starting with the two eyeshadow brushes, i got the ZOEVA 226 Smudger Brush which i find is perfect for blending eyeshadow on the lower lash line. Out of all the makeup brush brands i have tried, Zoeva must be my favourite because the quality is amazing and they last for agess. I personally think they're so worth the money!
And the other brush i got was the Morphe B39 Badger Chisel Fluff Brush which i was dissapointed by when i recieved it because i realised it was made out of badger and goat bristles. I didn't notice the description of the brush online because i assumed Morphe was an animal testing free brand so i don't actually use this brush, only if i'm desperate - i need to buy a replacement one which is not made out of animal fur asap! This brush was also extremely cheap and it was my first Morphe brush that i have purchased and i can already say that i won't be buying any more because the bristles just fall off while using it - definitely not of the best quality.
So i had to see what the hype is all about with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater and i have to confirm that yes it's a great product to have which is also versatile since it can be used on its own as a primer for hydration or as a setting spray. I found that it works best after you apply your powder and it can look very powdery - by using this it just eliminates the powder residue.
Next, i also got a Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Pan in the shade 'Magic Act'. This is my first eyeshadow pan from Makeup Geek and i was really happy with it and as i said at the start, i made another Beauty Bay order and it may or may not consist of 4 other eyeshadows from this brand. I decided to make my own custom z palette with makeup geek shadows which i will be talking about as soon as i fill it all out! So as for the consistency of the foiled eyeshadows, they glide on really nicely and are highly pigmented. I find that if you apply it to your lid with your fingers instead of a brush you get the maximum pigmentation. I like how these aren't too glittery they just have a smooth shimmer if you get what i mean.
and here's a swatch.
And lastly, another Mario Badescu Product (i've been really loving all the Mario Badescu products that i currently have). So i got the Mario Badescu Buttermilk Moisturizer (i can't find it on the Beauty Bay website right now to link it) which is perfect for if you have combination or oily skin because it is light weight and doesnt feel too heavy too but still gives enough moisture. It is also non-comedogenic which is good because it won't clog pores and cause breakouts.
The other moisturiser i got is the Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 17 which i have been loving during the summer months mostly because i find that all sun creams are really thick and they cause breakouts. This moisturiser is obviously moisturising but also provides the sun protection. It is lightweight, perfect for oily/combination skin and doesn't clog your pores. Perfect right?
